Mr Blues Champions League Tips

It’s funny how a year can be so different. 2016, just days before the most prestigious club competition in the world, the only thought’s ringing around most football fans minds, was the upcoming European Championships, well expect Scotland & Holland (HAHA).

But instead this year, we find ourselves in a complete opposite situation.

This weekend’s Champions League Final, will bring the end of another season of football and as we brace ourselves for a another footballess summer, we may as well enjoy the time we have left and have a cheeky flutter or 10.

The only question now is what do I bet on?

Current champions Madrid head to Cardiff this weekend, with an eye on a twelve European Trophy, with Gianluigi Buffon, looking for only his first (I know I was shocked too).

It’s the attacking force of Madrid vs the defensive powerhouse of Juventus and if I’m honest this is one game where I see no clear winner.

On paper its one of those games in which I can see both sides cancelling each other out and being won and lost on a single moment.

Though my tips below suggest otherwise, I am leaning towards Juventus to win this game, simply because I believe they have the ability to catch the fragile defense of Madrid out, however there’s something about Real Madrid in these games that automatically changes my mind. They have this ability to win games when they simply put, just shouldn’t and that comes from decades of players who are just born to win.

Ronaldo is bound to score and at 5/4 anytime, I’d put my house on this one. Personally I can see Ronaldo scoring a latish eqauliser, after Dybala opens the scoring with a quick Juventus breakaway in the first half. By the way Dybala is 6/1 to score first if anyone fancies it.

I think the draw is the safe bet for this Saturday’s game and is a massive price at 21/10. As stated above, I can see Juventus taking the lead here, but with the Champions of Europe crown on the line, I can see the nerves kicking in and the Italian Giants turning their style more defensive and try and hold onto their slender lead.

I am yet to find a price, but maybe William Hills new Your Odds feature could help. I don’t know what it is, but I cannot help but think Sergio Ramos is going to do it again and score a extra time winner in Cardiff this weekend and break Buffon’s heart. If anyone finds a price, please let me know.

Onto the tips, many of which I’ve discussed above.

21/10 – Draw

10/1 – Real Madrid to win in extra time

5/4 – Ronaldo to score anytime

11/5 – Dybala to score anytime

5/1 – Correct score 1-1
