Mr Blues Weekend Tips

I want to start by congratulating Mr Red on his 17/1 acca win midweek, which ended a baron spell for the team here. Hopefully fortunes will start to change on the back of this. Mr Green is still becoming accustomed to normal life after returning from travelling and will expect to see him back tipping soon. As for myself, it’s been a host of near misses, with promotion chasing Fleetwood losing to relegation fighting Swindon last week.

Single: 1/1

Blackburn

Now Blackburn may have lost their last two games, but before that found themselves unbeaten in 7, the same amount games since Barnsley last one a league game. Blackburn need the win this weekend to potentially see themselves finally leave the bottom three and remain in the second tier of English football. Barnsley are struggling for goals in recent weeks, only scoring 5 in the last 7 games, so 5/2 for Blackburn to win to nil, is an alternative bet for those seeking higher value.

Treble: 6.56/1

Southend, Blackpool and Lincoln

I had to have a proper think when deciding my single tip for the weekend and Southend almost made the cut, however my decision was swayed by Blackburns home advantage. Southend though are still a great single bet at 6/4, something to look at for those high staking customers out there. Southend travel to Charlton this weekend, commanding the last playoff spot on goal difference. They come to this game in good form, winning four of the last five, only losing to second placed Bolton during the week. It’s a completely different story I’m afraid for Charlton who have only one twice in their last 15 and not winning in their last five. Southend have scored 10 in their four previous wins and I cant see Charlton’s fragile defense lasting long this weekend.

Before the loss at Luton last week, Blackpool were unbeaten in the previous 9 and pushed themselves within two points of the playoff places. Within these 9 games, both teams scored in 6 of these games, with Blackpool winning half of these. Blackpool and both teams to score is 11/ 4 this weekend and again adds some added value. Grimsby though will be looking to turn around the 5-1 defeat to Doncaster last week, the team still looks very fragile and may sercombe to the in form Blackpool.

Lincoln travel to midtable Eastleigh this weekend, with all three points on the mind. Currently sitting in the only automatic promotion spot, level on points with second placed Tranmere. Since their FA Cup exit to Arsenal, Lincoln faced a dip in form, picking up only 4 points in the three games after, but two wins in the last two, seems to have squashed any end of season nerves. Eastleigh a side blessed with firepower and Lincoln the top scorers in the league, I expect goals in tomorrow’s fixture and you can get Lincoln and over 2.5 goals at 13/8, some extra value for those value seekers out there.

Fourfold: 14.11/1

Blackburn, Southend, Blackpool and Lincoln

Combine the single and treble together for this weekends acca. You could alternatively back the four extra suggested bets, from these games for a 85/1 fourfold.

Treble: 9.75/1

Fleetwood, Plymouth and Wycombe

These are three sides all pushing for promotion this season. Other than Fleetwood, both Plymouth and Wycombe have been on good form in recent weeks and are likely to keep that up. Plymouth have practically secured a return to League One, but will not want to take any chances. Fleetwood, are all but destined for a play off spot, with automatic promotion slipping out of reach, but again, will take nothing for granted and want to secure the points tomorrow. Lastly we have Wycombe, who after an awful run of form after losing at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup, Wycombe have salvaged their promotion hopes in recent weeks and will be needing all three points to attempt to secure a playoff spot.

If you fancy a punt and like always who doesn’t, back all 7 sides for a 162/1 sevenfold.

Good luck to everyone who follows and remember to leave your own suggestions below.
