Mr Red Saturday Tips

This Saturday there is some added pressure personally for my tips to win, as a group of us are having a long weekend and renting out an old pub for a massive piss up. Of course when planning any trip the first thing to arrange is where to watch the Football, unfortunately not everyone was buzzing with excitement when I suggested, in their words, ‘watching 5 men, watch football’. To help convince them this will be worth their while I have been tasked with winning them some money. Not only is my reputation on the line, but also my safety. If my tips lose I’ll be in a whole world of shit.

I’m still not sure how I’m going to break it to them that Man Utd v Arsenal will provide the early entertainment and Dortmund v Bayern the afternoon entertainment. (I wonder if they’re reading!)

Stoke – 6/5

The potters look to have finally found their feet in the league this season and probably didn’t want the international break. However I can’t look past a side who have won 3 from their last 5, including their last 2 at home. Bournemouth meanwhile haven’t won in their last 4 away fixtures. The H2H record also doesn’t make good reading for the cherries. Stoke have won the last 7 at home, albeit this record stretches back to 1998.

Man City, Derby – 6/5

Man City travel to Palace in a game where goals look likely. Aguero is fit, and while City’s form hasn’t been great in the league lately it has been a damn site better than Palace. The Eagles have only picked up 1 point from their last 5 and have been shipping goals like it’s going out of fashion. An attack including Aguero, Sterling and Silva should have a field day.

Derby have picked up since the wally with a brolly returned to the helm and head into this clash with rock bottom Rotherham on the back of 2 good wins – home to Sheffield Wednesday and away to Wolves. Rotherham meanwhile sit bottom of the league and haven’t won since August. With Neil Warnock at Cardiff I can’t see how Rotherham will get out of this one.

Derby, Man City, Stoke, Sheffield United – 6/1

Derby, Man City, Stoke, Sheffield United, Tranmere – 12/1

Man City W+ Over 2.5 match goals, Yeovil W+ over 2.5 match goals, Sheffield Utd HT/FT, Doncaster v Hartlepool BTTS first half – 71/1

Bristol Rovers v MK Dons, Mainz v Freiburg, Dover v Guiseley – 7/2

Southampton v Liverpool, AFC Wimbledon v Bury, Walsall v Gillingham, Doncaster v Hartlepool, Barnet v Crewe, Maidstone v Woking – 16/1

Mainz v Freiburg, Heerenveen v Vitesse, Palace v Man City, Watford v Leicester, Ipswich v Notts Forest, Charlton v Port Vale, Morecambe v Luton, Doncaster v Hartlepool – 64/1

As always good luck with any bets you place and please feel free to post your own thoughts, tips or bets.
